When we pray, we are simply asking God to be who He is and do what He has promised! Through Jesus, we come as children before our Father, with all our worries and fears; knowing He is good and able to meet all of our needs (Phil 4:19). Prayer also helps us to create space to hear from God; to listen for His voice and seek His direction. Prayer doesn’t require great vocabulary or eloquent speech - you don’t even have to close your eyes or fold your hands! Just start talking and keep listening.
